Making Your Own Clock

The Meaning of Time is a brilliant clock concept perfect for all those crafty people out there. It supplies the mechanism to keep time, you supply the hour and minute hands. You can use just about anything as long as it fits thru the holes. I myself am partial to a barrel of monkeys. Perhaps a picture string of ex-lovers or even more sinister ants trapped inside a glass tube.

Everything is more convenient when delivered in an all-inclusive box. the Bento Box, the Happy Meal by McDonalds, the iPhone, and now a bedroom. The “Casulo” by designers Marcel Krings and Sebastian Mühlhäuser is a neatly packed box with an entire bedroom suite ready to go. No tools needed and minor assembly required for this IKEA worthy design. The use of styrofoam packing materials has been completely eliminated making this (unofficially) a “Green” product by design. My knee-jerk reaction upon seeing this impressive packing job, had me imagining Wile E. Coyote ordering an entire bedroom from ACME in another misguided attempt to lure the Roadrunner into a trap.

Debby and I went to the last day of the Kenneth Cole Mega Sale! There were not much left in the store, we managed to pick up a pair of news shoes for ourselves.



It was a good deal, 75% off, yes, 75% off!!! Original prices for mine and Debby's shoes were NT$7,868 and NT$8,450, respectively. Which we will never pay that kind of money for a pair of shoe..... But today, we paid NT$3,833 for these two!!

Debby's Birthday Dinner

Earlier this year, we purchased two 50% off coupons from Annual Food Fair. The coupons are from Formosa Regent. No, I am not talking about those all you can eat restaurant, I am talking about a very upscale restaurant. Formosa Regent recently launched "故宮晶華 Silk Palace" which is adjacent to the National Palace Museum 故宮. Fortunately, they have a branch restaurant at Formosa Regent, which is very close to our house.
